Things have been going really well with this new guy. We have great chemistry, and I feel really good about him. I'm actually kind of glad I ran away a few years ago, thinking he was a tad sketchy; it's as though the goddess was whispering in my ear "stay away, you're not ready for him yet." And it's true, up until recently I've been clingy and emotionally high maintenance, among other annoying features, but in the wake of recent events I've matured quite a bit, and now I can keep my crazy down to tolerable amounts. Maybe this time I won't mess things up.
BUT I haven't told him about my fetish yet. I'm not sure how to, the timing needs to be just right. I'm too shy to even offer to wash his hair. Gahh what is wrong with me? Do I just not want to scare him away with excess weirdness? It's not like he comes to my place where I can leave subtle hints lying around, I go to his place where we can get more privacy, since I have a roommate right now. Ack, I miss having a single bedroom. Oh well, it's only for another month.
What I do know is this guy has magic fingers. He's given me massages, he even massaged my scalp a couple times. I have no doubt he could give a great shampoo, and maybe he does have experience with it. Maybe he enjoys it too, but for one reason or another is too shy to bring it up. He did say he didn't have any known fetishes though, so that's out, although he hasn't asked me if I have any. That is, he hasn't asked yet . . .
I know, I know, I'm a hypocrite. I tell people to go for it, I encourage women to speak up about their fetishes and ask for what they want. It's hard, I get it, and maybe I'm in no place to give that kind of encouragement
Oh jeez, how much do you wanna bet that once I tell him I have a shampoo fetish, he Googles "shampoo fetish" and finds this blog? That'd be crazy awkward . . . Then again, I don't think any guy I've dated has researched information on shampoo fetishes, or even sought YouTube videos to help him learn how to wash hair, so what are the odds of this new guy coming across this blog? And would it totally weird him out enough to scare him away?

Another New Guy
I met a guy a few years ago, and then we lost contact. I'd almost forgotten about him until we ran into each other last year, and for a while I fantasized about him. My fantasy was that I'd go to his apartment, he'd wash my hair over the sink, and then he'd lie me down on the bed and make love to me. Got me off for a long time, really. I'd had the feeling he was sort of into me. I could be wrong, maybe he didn't like me then. But recently we started hanging out and he sure as hell seems to like me now.
As I've mentioned before, a new guy coming into my life is always exciting. I picture him washing my hair, wonder if he's any good at it, and wonder if maybe he's into it too. I wonder if he'll offer to wash my hair without me telling him about my fetish. I wonder how the topic of my fetish will come up, whether he'll laugh at me or find it interesting. I'm sure it'll come up soon, I do want him to know about it because I really want him to shampoo me.
Because this guy is very into the outdoors and loves to go camping, there have been recent fantasies, such as him shampooing me in a lake or river on a camping trip (of course, using biodegradable camping shampoo so as not to hurt the environment).
Oh god, if he reads this he'll probably know I'm talking about him. I'd die of embarrassment. Then again, if he does read it, one would hope it's because he has this fetish too.
Sometimes I wonder how much bearing this fetish-related stuff should have on my guy selection. How important is it for him to be good at washing my hair? After all, the last guy could give a fantastic shampoo, but wasn't always willing to do it, even when I asked him to shampoo me over the sink or something, it fell in deaf ears. Other guys have been more than willing to wash my hair, even loved doing it, but were utter crap at it. Why no balance yet, goddamnit?!? But when I'm choosing between two guys, as I will probably have to do eventually - date this new guy or get back together with my ex - how much should this matter?

Video Review and Prediction
Well I got the new video a while ago, the one from The Hairfun, and it's fantastic! It's a little short, but it has lots of lather and it was totally worth the price! There's a bit in the middle where her head is just covered in foam, I watch that part over and over sometimes. And the guy really knows how to wash. The video is Julia Shampoo Over Bowl, and I highly recommend it, or really anything from The Hairfun, I'm sure a lot of their shampoo videos are fantastic.
Also, has anyone else seen commercials for foam hair color? I wonder if we'll start seeing foam coloring videos soon.

Ahh Nostalgia
I was just watching one of my old favorite cartoons, the Rugrats, and I saw this. I remembered how much seeing that one little clip thrilled me as a kid. It also reminded me of when I was little and really wanted my hair washed at the salon, but until I was about 8 they would just spray my hair with water to wet it. The first salon shampoo was magical. And I'm gonna stop feeding the pedophiles now, back to my trip down memory lane!

Bought New Video!
I finally figured out that in order to buy a video from The Hairfun, you need to e-mail them for the password. Derp! Well I got it, and ordered a video. not cheap either, damn exchange rates. Don't look at me like that, I'm a college student and I'm allowed to be irresponsible damnit! It's not like I've incurred any debts from student loans (yet), and I know I have a job for the summer so I'm not in any real trouble yet either.
Anyway, gotta say, buying a video in German is quite an interesting experience. I had no idea what I was clicking on, I just went with my instincts most of the time. Looks like I was successful, now I just need to wait. I'll probably post a review or something when I can finally view the video.
But man, I gotta say, watching a video just isn't the same, and it's been so long since I've had a good shampoo. FUCKSHITDAMNIT THERE'S A GINORMOUS SPIDER IN THE ROOM! Gotta go, bye!

Hairfun Rant
I've raved about The Hairfun before, now I'm a little frustrated. They've posted some great shampoo video previews on YouTube . . . only they're just slideshows. Very hot pictures, I must say, one very much reminds me of the work over at Lather Fantasies (I wonder what they're up to these days, I'd love to see some new stuff from them), but I liked the previews a lot more when they were actual videos.
Now I get that maybe they're tired of people only watching the freebie videos on YouTube, and maybe that's why they keep taking down the old videos, but if they really want us to buy videos, they need to make that possible. Once again, I can't get to that part of their website. It is about time for me to buy something from them, they seem to do really great work, and their videos seem pretty affordable. They are one of my favorites out there. Then again, there aren't that many shampoo fetish websites active at any given time. Websites tend to release videos in small, infrequent waves - LatherFantasies seemed busy for a while before disappearing again, ShampooGuys made a big comeback for a while and then died back out - whereas the HairFun seems to be putting out new stuff every six weeks or so. I'm hoping they don't die out too, that'd be sad.
While I can't condemn anyone for watching mostly YouTube clips, I do recommend people buy videos as well. It's nice to always have something on your computer that you don't have to go searching for, and it helps support the people who make the videos.

The Struggle For Female Fetishists
I never told my first two boyfriends about my fetish. I was too shy. Even now I'm often shy about telling a guy what I want, and just now have I really figured out what it is.
It's not just that being turned on by hair washing is different, but it involves having a guy do something for me that isn't inherently sexual, and unless he's into shampooing as well, isn't much of a turn-on for him. To ask for a shampoo is to ask to be massaged and pampered, an often selfless task for the shampooer, and perhaps that's why my last partner believed I had to earn washings, while he was more willing to have sex with me, which he did consider a favor to me even when it involved a good bit of coercion.
(yes, it's exactly what you think it means)
I wouldn't be surprised if other girls feel this way. It's quite an obstacle to overcome, feeling like you can't ask for what you want directly without coming across as too aggressive or downright selfish. I wish I had better advice to women on how to ask for it, but personally I've often had to be subtle about bringing it up. I've had to start with casually bringing up the topic of fetishes, and try to get him really interested in what mine might be before I finally spill it. Even as it comes out, I feel silly, embarrassed, as if my fetish is stupid, childish, and immature.
Luckily, most guys have found it cute, intriguing, and in a couple cases flat-out hot.
Most guys I've dated have seemed unwilling to shampoo me anywhere but in the shower. Maybe it's because that's the only way they can get something out of it - they get to wash a wet, naked girl and possibly turn the shampooing into a conventionally sexual act. I've dropped hints that I wanted it over the sink, they either fell on deaf ears, or they were intentionally ignored, or the guy made an excuse as to why not. Frustrating. Sometimes all I want is a shampoo, no sex or nudity involved. Why is that so hard for guys to comprehend? Well, I'm sure you guys get it, but not normal guys.

Boring Blog-Related Stuff
Time to take care of some blog-related stuff and acknowledge the elephant in the room. Yes, there are ads now. I decided to monetize when I realized the blog was doing very well . . . and the my savings from working over the summer are starting to run dry. What can I say, I'm a broke college student trying to scrape together some extra bucks.
What I will assure you is that I will keep them text-only so they're not completely obnoxious and don't make the page take forever to load. However, if the images I have posted do cause a problem, please let me know, because I'm as frustrated with slow loading pages as the next person. If you guys like the pictures, bear with me because I plan on gathering more!

What Are You Afraid Of?
This is to the guys who want to wash a girl's hair: GO FOR IT!
Really, what are you afraid of? Washing a girl's hair is one of the sexiest, most sensual things you can do for her. I know you guys are shy about it, because actually having a fetish for it may seem weird at first - hey, if they don't do it in mainstream porn, it's not considered normal - but I'll bet anything most women would be all for it if you brought it up. So take a deep breath, and say "hey, I'd really like to wash your hair."
I think the biggest reason a woman might hesitate is that she's afraid you'll mess up her hair or damage it. Assure her you know what you're doing and you'll be careful. Also assure her that you'll shampoo her in a position that will allow her to stay fully clothed, in case that's a concern as well. Finally, assure her that you expect nothing in return - that should always be the case, but make sure that's always known.
Most women love having their hair washed! Why else would a shampoo be part of every haircut? Why else would Herbal Essences think to make those commercials?
If you're really in doubt and want to ease into bringing up the idea of a shampoo, start by offering a shoulder massage. If she seems to enjoy that, move your hands up to her scalp and see how she reacts. If she enjoys that as well, then offer to wash her hair. Make it about her, frame it as a favor for her, not something you're doing for your own pleasure (you may be perceived as a creep otherwise). After you wash her hair, then you can say that you enjoyed it - she'll love that you enjoy doing something so pleasurable for her.

Look What Overstock Has!
http://www.overstock.com/Health-Beauty/Mabis-Inflatable-Bed-Shampooer-Kit/5395212/product.html
Thought I'd show this to you guys, in case anyone has a need for it. It's an inflatable bed shampooer kit that includes an inflatable ring for the bed, plus a plastic basin and draining tube. Perfect for shampooing in bed, which I've never tried myself but sounds wonderful. AND it's relatively cheap, and likely to sell out, so if you want it, better act soon!
I myself won't be getting one. I'm trying to save my money these days, and I've once again found myself single, this time with no intention of dating anytime soon, so I won't have any use for any home shampooing products.
